Rit Paper Dying Technique

How many of us tie-dyed t-shirts back in the day? Rit Dye was the way to go back then. My t-shirt dying days are over (I think!), but why give up the dye? But this time I’ve been dying paper, not fabric, creating several projects for Rit.

Rit has posted several of my projects on the company’s website, including this holiday card:

All the color comes from Rit Dye — the tree design, the ribbon trunks, even the blue snow (made using the paper towel I used for clean-up — how thrifty am I?) is dyed. For complete instructions, go here or to the Rit Dye website. And while you’re there, check out the “upcycling” contest the company is having!

I have posted a day earlier than usual, so thanks for stopping by! (And watch for more of my cards using Rit Dye!) Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.
