Kids DO say the darndest things! Which is why I can’t help but smile when I use Kids Quotes stamps from Inkadinkado. There are about two dozen sayings featuring words of wisdom from the mouths of babes (who are given full credit right on the stamp.)
Some of my favorites include: “You make me smile all over my face” (Ian Hobson, Age 5); “Sometimes you just need to take a nap and get over it,” (Maura Stuard, Age 8), and — maybe my favorite — “It’s never too late to be a rock star,” (Sarah Wardrope, Age 12).
One of the things I like about these stamps is that they don’t need much in the way of adornment. The quotes are so cute, they stand on their own. They are especially fun on bright, busy paper or backgrounds. And they are NOT just for kids! I find that adults really connect with these sayings — maybe more than youngsters do!
Here are some samples:

"Rock Star"
(Paper: Paper Trunk; stars: Making Memories Game Board Shapes covered with Sulyn Sparkle 21 Glitter; ribbon unknown.)
And look how the color and style of the paper changes the entire look — same saying, different look!
(Paper: Making Memories; Marthat Stewart eyelet punch.)
On this one below, I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the solid brown cardstock. Then I sanded the top of the embossing to give it a distressed look.

Came to your site via Kathy Sena 🙂 I’m a fellow stamper too – I teach for A Muse. Your cards are great – you are right about the kid sentiments being able to hold their own. I love the writing, they are adorable! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jill,
Thanks for the nice comment! I LOVE A Muse stamps! And I love your blog — the submarine cards are too cute, especially the one using punches as bubbles. Very clever! (I write for Crafts ‘n things, and my editor loves A Muse stamps, too.) Are you going to the Carson show?
Thanks again!
Robi, I love these. They’re perfect for adults. My stamping fire might be rekindling here pretty soon. 🙂
Thanks Lisa! Aren’t these the cutest stamps? Come to the Carson show on July 12! Then we’ll have a play date!
