Wise Old Owl

The last set I want to show you from Pink Persimmon is this Wise Old Owl. What I love about this set is that it comes in parts, making stamping a breeze. Stamp the body, wings, head, etc. in different colors and have fun mixing and matching. This is a great way to create a lot of cards in a little amount of time. Just stamp in various colors, cut them out and store them until needed. Then it’s easy to pull together a fast card.

Here are some samples:

The Birthday Owl was stamped in pieces and then assembled….

…. but it’s just as easy to stamp the owl right on your card.

(Doesn’t he look smart?)

And finally, the embossed gold crown is the “crowning” touch for an Owl Queen.

Puckering up for Pink Persimmon

Oh, my, I have been a bad blogger! To make up for the long time between posts, this week I will share several cards made with three different stamp sets from Pink Persimmon. These sets are so clever because they come with all sorts of bits and pieces. With all the “accessories,”  there are so many ways to use these sets.

The sets I’ve used are Scottie Dogs, Wise Old Owl and Little Red Wagon.

The first cards are the Scottie Dogs (with two views.) It’s such fun to dress up this dog! You can make all sorts of outfits by making the “coat” on stamped, colored or designer paper. Don’t forget to add some bling to the collar!

Enjoy!

(The great background on the larger tag is from Judi-kins and the dots are from Hero Arts. The other tag is stamped on a dotted paper scrap.)

Here’s a Scottie who looks pretty in pink. The rick rack border is also Pink Persimmon and the harlequin background is from Hero Arts. The flowers are from Prima.

And finally, this dog is spiffy in blue argyle.

Next up will be the Owl and the Little Red Wagon.
